You will need to describe your situation in detail.  You also need to tell us what you are trying to achieve by backing up your files. 
Are you asking for backing up the entire disk or a single program file?  What do you mean by you don't know the password?  Are you saying there is third party software that is blocking the access of program file folder or the computer itself is password protected?  In any case, backing up the program file folder would not do you any good unless the program file folder also contains data files of the programs.
If this is your computer and you simply forgot the password, I suggest you crack the password by using free linux cracking tools.  Search the tools on google.  Windows is just way too easy to crack...  And back up "data file" by using Windows built-in utility. 
To start Windows built-in utility, go to Start - Run and type in ntbackup.
