I have had a few Korean alumni who had the same problem as you have.. and so I believe I know what you are talking about.

Most probably, you use English Window XP while your brother uses Korean version window, and thus the attachment file must be named in Korean.

For your English Window to open the file named in Korean, you have to rename the file in to English. Please save the file attachement in your e-mail program on to your hard disk. And go to your hard disk and rename the file in to English name by using your Window Explorer's File> Rename> function.

Once the attachment file is renamed, double click the file. Either your window will ask which program to use to open the file or if you have the program which your brother used in your computer, it will open the file automatically.

If you could not follow the above tips, you may forward the e-mail to me (richardyim@youshine.com) just as your brother did (judging from the fact that your brther got the attachment from another friend, it may not be that confidential material), and I will resend it to you after making sure that it can be opened by you....
