Most people here buy computers from www.dell.com via mail order. Very rarely go to local stores such as Best Buy, CompuUSA or Circuite City for computers. If you already have a laptop, might as well bring it with you. Check these sites to compare prices..

One thing I want you to know is that in the States it's quite easy to return goods you bought or ordered via mail order as long as you have receipts...

At the paid forum where I am a member, we compared prices between buying parts to put together a c_puter & buying one at Dell when they offer special sales.  I & a few others looked into seriously both options and ended up buying  from Dell.
